For a child with communication difficulties school can be an exceedingly challenging place. It may mean they might find whole class learning overwhelming or just not interesting enough to make the extra effort.

Exploring how activities are presented and embedding strategies into whole class teaching can provide children with opportunities to learn how to ‘get it right’ and that taking the risk of joining in is worth it. This can have a transformative impact on their learning within the classroom.

Depending on the needs of a school I can work with a single student, group of students or provide advice and support to school staff in how they work to support the students with communication difficulties in their class.
