About

I feel very fortunate to get to do a job I love that is so varied and also allows me to work collaboratively with other skilled professionals. Working alongside parents is a source of huge inspiration and being part of their journey feels like a real privilege.

I am a fully qualified and highly experienced speech and language therapist working with families, nurseries and schools. In addition to this I regularly deliver training to speech and language therapy services and within educational settings.

My approach to intervention starts with getting connected and engaging with any child or group of children. This may sound obvious but it is so easy to feel we need to start with outcome driven tasks and activities. Of course we want, and need, to build skills but doing this from a place of shared good times facilitates skill development to flow. Consequently the likelihood of the child trying those difficult thing is greatly increased.

I have many years experience working with children and young people with a range of communication difficulties often including early communication and particularly those that impact social communication including Autism and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
